About the Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly growing public company in the advanced technology sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant to support their CFO through a high-growth phase. The organization has experienced significant expansion and is strengthening its finance function to meet public company reporting standards and compliance requirements.

This is a hands-on, consulting engagement ideal for a designated accounting professional (CPA) with strong technical accounting and public company reporting experience who can operate independently and add immediate value.

  • Review and record complex accounting transactions and journal entries.
  • Assist with tax compliance and manage costs related to grants and subsidies.
  • Strengthen internal controls and help improve current financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the CFO with audit committee materials and presentations, depending on experience.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and assist in improving system efficiency and reporting accuracy.

About You

  • Designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA Canada) required; US CPA also considered.

Experience:

  • Proven background in public company financial reporting (preferably NASDAQ or TSX-listed).
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage reporting deliverables with minimal oversight.
  • Industry Experience: Aerospace or manufacturing exposure is a plus but not required.
  • Availability: Able to commit 30-40 hours per week with flexibility around scheduling.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to work directly with a CFO at a dynamic, growth-oriented public company.
