The Opportunity:

Our client, a leading innovator in the insurance tech space, is seeking an Interim Global Controller for an immediate start. This critical role will focus on optimizing their global month-end close process and streamlining finance operations across multiple international time zones. If you're a hands-on accounting leader with a knack for efficiency in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity offers significant impact at a rapidly growing company.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you’ll join a dynamic finance team to:

• Lead and significantly improve the global month-end close cycle, aiming to reduce the current 10-11 working day timeline.
• Manage and mentor direct reports, providing guidance to junior team members across different regions.
• Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
• Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between finance teams operating in various international time zones (Sydney, US, Europe).
• Provide crucial support for upcoming audit processes.
• Contribute to overall operational efficiency and process improvements within the finance department.

Deliverables Include:

• A significantly streamlined and accelerated month-end close process.
• Efficiently managed and supported global finance team members.
• Accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations across all entities.
• Enhanced communication protocols for multinational finance operations.
• Successful support during the audit process.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong accounting background with a proven track record in financial leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in fast-paced and evolving tech environments.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Flowcast is a significant asset.
• Ability to manage and lead multinational teams, navigating different currencies and time zones.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
