Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Location: Mississauga

Salary range: $140,000-150,000


ROLE SUMMARY:

Our client, a publicly listed media company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to join their dynamic and innovative team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will lead a team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and close processes in a fast-paced, corporate environment. With a focus on leadership, analysis, and continuous improvement, you will play an integral role in managing internal controls, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS.


SUCCESS CRITERIA & DELIVERABLES:

- Gain a solid understanding of existing close processes, systems, and team dynamics within 3 months

- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and take ownership of recurring close and reporting responsibilities

- Lead team reviews and approve reconciliations with limited oversight within 3 months

- Fully own and optimize the month-end and quarter-end close calendar within 1 year

- Implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function within 1 year

- Deliver clean audit results and mentor direct reports to grow their capabilities within 1 year.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

- CPA designation

- Experience leading teams of 2+ employees

- Strong experience in financial reporting, audit, and full cycle accounting

- Familiarity with SAP and BlackLine

- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS

- Previous experience in the film or media & entertainment industry

- Proven talent development and team leadership skills

- Intermediate Excel skills

- Experience working with a publicly traded company on the NYSE or a similar exchange.
