The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced finance leader to step into an Interim Director of Finance role to support a dynamic finance team during a maternity leave coverage. With several process improvement projects underway and public company reporting requirements to manage, the team is looking for a steady hand to provide operational oversight, leadership, and mentorship through a critical transition period.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and month-end reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with public company reporting standards and timelines
• Mentor and support the finance team, providing guidance and leadership
• Lead an AP automation project and drive other finance-related process improvement initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and enhance reporting accuracy

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in senior finance roles with oversight of operations and reporting
• Strong understanding of public company reporting requirements
• Exceptional leadership and people-management skills; known for your ability to coach and support staff
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
• ERP knowledge; NetSuite experience is an asset but not mandatory
• A process-oriented mindset with a track record of driving finance transformation initiatives

Other Important Details

• This is a contract role, expected to begin the week of June 10
• The hourly rate is between $80–$90, based on consulting experience
• Onboarding is expected to be completed by June 26
