The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Treasury - Interim on a contract basis to lead key initiatives related to liquidity management, banking relationships, and capital structure. This role will support strategic finance initiatives and cash optimization during a critical period of transformation. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to enhance treasury operations, contribute to external reporting, and support decision-making at the executive level.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee daily cash operations, cash concentration, intercompany funding, and short-term investing to maintain optimal liquidity.
- Monitor and manage global cash forecasts (short and long term), ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external financial institutions to manage credit lines, debt compliance, and related reporting.
- Contribute to the assessment and execution of capital structure decisions, share buybacks, and financing initiatives.
- Evaluate banking services and implement enhancements to streamline treasury processes and systems.
- Lead compliance with internal treasury controls and support SOX-related documentation and activities.
- Advise on foreign exchange exposure, including hedging strategy execution and policy alignment.
- Provide support for cash flow reporting, interest income/expense forecasting, and corporate investment tracking.
- Partner across departments to support large-scale projects where treasury input is critical, including liquidity planning and system improvements.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting for senior leadership, including consolidated liquidity summaries and intercompany cash flows.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA or CFA designation strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive treasury, corporate finance, or banking experience, with a demonstrated focus on liquidity, FX, and capital markets.
- Experience with global cash flow forecasting, FX risk mitigation, and treasury compliance controls.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting frameworks and internal controls (e.g., GAAP, SOX).
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), and BI tools a plus.
- Experience working in multinational environments and with intercompany transactions preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially in liaising with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
