Salary: $120-130,000
The Opportunity:
This exciting opportunity reports to the Director of Finance and offers people leadership over two direct reports in a growing, privately owned company. The role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys cross-functional collaboration across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all core accounting functions including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, month/year-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, day-to-day banking, and oversee existing and new loan arrangements.
- Partner with department leaders across operations, HR, and supply chain to monitor and control operating and SG&A expenses.
- Lead the monthly close process and provide variance analysis against budgeted expenses.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure successful completion of annual audits, inventory counts, and tax filings.
- Drive strong internal controls, compliance practices, and contribute to policy development and audit readiness.
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan, forecasting updates, and support the development of the 5-year Strategic Plan.
Success Criteria & Deliverables:
- CPA designated
- 6+ years of experience in accounting, reporting and analysis
- Strong experience in full-cycle accounting experience (AP/AR, month-end close, payroll, internal controls etc.)
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is a strong asset
- Advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience building strong cross-functional relationships
- Experience coaching and mentoring a small team
